Der Sommer ist doch noch nicht ganz da und dieses Wochenende wird es noch einmal etwas kälter. Trotzdem gibt es einige coole Veranstaltungen, die das Wochenende verschönern!

1/ Thursday Special: Italian Party Special (Thur 19-03h - €6)

Prosecco, Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Limoncello und Tramezzini und italienische Smash-Hits. Eine Nacht voller Freude und des ungezwungenen Feierns direkt nach der Arbeit ab 19 Uhr.

2/ Secondhänd (Fr, Sat 15-22h - Free)

In dem alten Krankenhaus (Semmelweisklinik) gibt es diese Woche wieder den Secondhänd Markt. Neben coolen Unikaten kann man hier auch einen Drink und ein nicht mehr sehr lange bestehendes Gebäude bewundern.

Am Freitag ist der Markt von 15-22h geöffnet und am Samstag von 12-19h.

3/ Yiddish Culture Festival (Whole Weekend, €29)

Längst zum fixen Bestandteil des Wiener Kulturlebens geworden, bringt das Festival einmal mehr auf eine besondere Weise dem Publikum die jüdische Kultur näher. Der Wiener Jüdische Chor und das Wiener Klezmerorchester bringen traditionelle Klänge in neuen Arrangements. Zwischen den Musikdarbietungen werden Texte, die aus Quellen jüdischer Weisheit schöpfen, in die Gegenwart führen.

4/ Botanische Raritätenbörse (Fr-So, 09:30-18h - €6)

Zum Auftakt der Gartensaison lädt die Raritätenbörse Pflanzenliebhaber und Gartenfreunde in den Botanischen Garten der Universität Wien. Von Freitag bis Sonntag können die BesucherInnen außergewöhnliche Pflanzenraritäten abseits des Massensortiments für Garten, Balkon und Hochbeet erwerben.

5/ Vienna City Marathon (So 09-15h - Free)

Am Sonntag findet der 41. Vienna City Marathon statt. Auch wenn man selbst nicht mitläuft, kann man sehr nett mit einem Kaffee (oder Bier) die Läufer*innen anfeuern und die Energie dieser Großveranstaltung feiern.

It seems like summer has halted for a short moment and we are actually experiencing some more spring weather! Nonetheless, there are some pretty nice events happening this weekend, so read on.

Let get to it! 🚀

1/ Thursday Special: Italian Party Special (Thur 19-03h - €6)

Prosecco, Aperol Spritz, Negroni, Limoncello and Tramezzini as well as a selection of Italian Smash-Hits. A night full of fun and partying that you can enjoy as early as 19h!

2/ Secondhänd (Fr, Sat 15-22h - Free)

In the old Semmelweisklinik (hospital) there will be another second hand market. The location is pretty interesting itself already but in combination with a relaxed second hand market, this definitely becomes a weekend favorite for me!

Side note, on Friday it will be open from 15-22h and on Saturday from 12-19h.

3/ Yiddish Culture Festival (Whole Weekend, €29)

The Yiddish Culture festival is a fixture of the Viennese culture scene. If you want to learn more about the Jewish community in Vienna and listen to concerts and readings, this is a unique opportunity to do so.

4/ Botanic Rarity Market (Fr-So, 09:30-18h - €6)

With the start of the gardening season, the university of Vienna offers a unique small plant market. Between Friday and Sunday, you can explore and purchase rare plants that you will not be able to find in your usual market.

So if you are still looking to expand your garden, balcony or living room, this might be a nice option!
