Die 5 coolsten Veranstaltungen diese Woche in Wien. Die Woche gibt es besonders viele coole Konzerte im Culutre Teil!

1/ Thursday Special: Opening Selbst als Kamera (Thur 18:30 - Free)

Am Donnerstagabend gibt im Künstlerhaus eine ziemlich coole Ausstellung der Künstlerin Maria Lassnig. Die Ausstellung zeigt eine Auswahl des Filmwerks der Künstlerin vor dem Hintergrund ihres malerischen und poetischen Schaffens in den USA. Sie gewährt so einen intimen Blick auf Maria Lassnig – durch ihre eigene Linse.

Keinen Bock auf Kultur? Dann gibt es hier den besten Afterwork der Stadt für die Woche.

2/ Nowruz Fest - Concert and Party (Fr 18:30 - Free)

Nowruz, übersetzt ‚neuer Tag‘, ist eines der ältesten Feste im Nahen Osten und zugleich Symbol des politischen Widerstands. Menschen aus vielen Ländern feiern gemeinsam den Frühlingsbeginn und Neujahr bei Musik, Tanz und Essen. Nowruz ist ein von der UNESCO geschütztes Fest, welches zum immateriellen Kulturerbe ernannt wurde.

3/ Wassermeditation (Fr 20h - Free)

Im MQ gibt es anlässlich des Wassertages einen Meditationsworkshop. Wer also immer schon mal Meditieren ausprobieren wollte, aber irgendwie nie den richtigen Zeitpunkt dafür gefunden hat, sollte die Veranstaltung nicht verpassen!

4/ Kleine Wellen Festival (Sat 17-24h - €11)

Wem keinen Bock mehr auf den Wiener Techno hat sondern mal ein paar Live Bands hören möchte (Musik Richtung NNDW und Hyperpop), sollte das Kleine Wellen Festival in der Superbude nicht verpassen. Ich bin ja schon recht lange ein Fan von der Location und der gemütlichen Stimmung dort.

5/ Get your spring collection (Fr-Sat 13-19h - Free)

Diesen Freitag und Samstag gibt es wieder mal einen Vintage Kilo Sale. Wer sich denkt, der Kleiderschrank ist eh schon zu voll und es dürfen nur neue Sachen rein, wenn Alte rauskommen, der kann auch zur Kleidertausch Party am Samstag gehen.

Alternativ gibt es übrigens dieses WE auch den WAMP Designmarkt (Season Opening)

The 5 best events this weekend in Vienna. Also, make sure to check the culture part as there are a bunch of cool concerts this weekend!

1/ Thursday Special: Opening: Self as camera (Thur 18:30 - Free)

This Thursday there is the opening of the exhibition by the artist ‘Maria Lassnig. The exhibition provides insights into her films and how she used the medium to explore ‘body aweareness’.

2/ Nowruz Fest - Concert and Party (Fr 18:30 - Free)

Nowruz translates to ‘new day’ and is one of the oldest celebration in the middle east. People from different countries celebrate the start of spring together with music, dance and food. Nowruz is even protected by UNESCO!

So if you are up for something a bit more adventurous, check this out!

3/ Water Meditations (Fr 20h - Free)

Alright, I know what you think. Meditating in water. Well, it’s not quite that! It’s a free meditation workshop to celebrate the 'world water day’. You won’t get wet but you will get a free guided meditation workshop.

So if you have always been intrigued but never found the right time to try out meditation, this is your chance!

4/ Kleine Wellen Festival (Sat 17-24h - €11)

If you are fed up by all the techno in Vienna, maybe this is the right place for you! At Superbude in the 2nd district, there will be the ‘Small Wave Festival’. 6 bands will play live music (hyperpop and NNDW). I like the location because it provides a very cozy setting between the artists and the audience.

Also, if you want a free ticket I got 2 free tickets. I will randomly draw a name at the end of day (Thursday). You can sign-up for the draw here.

5/ Get your spring collection (Fr-Sat 13-19h - Free)

This Friday and Saturday there will be another vintage kilo sale. You just pay per kilo! I guess the good thing is that now that spring is coming, you don’t need a new heavy winter jacket, so maybe you can get your moneys worth!

If you are more of a minimalist, check out the swap party instead, where you can exchange your cloths for newer ones! Info for that here.

Finally, there will also be the WAMP Designmarkt (Season Opening) if that is your kind of thing! 🙂
